Origin and Habitat
This species grows naturally in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, typically in rocky, shaded areas with well-drained soils. It thrives in semi-arid conditions under the protection of shrubs or rocks.
Plant Description
Haworthia tesselata forms small rosettes of fleshy, triangular leaves with translucent “windows” and a unique pattern of light and dark green checks or tessellations. The leaf surface may have fine ridges or bumps enhancing its textured look. It produces slender flower stalks with small, tubular, white or pale pink flowers in the growing season.

Water moderately during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Reduce watering in winter.
Soil
Use a well-draining succulent or cactus soil mix.
Temperature
Ideal temperatures range from 15°C to 27°C. Protect from frost.
