Origin and Habitat

Native to the semi-arid regions of central Mexico, Agave potatorum grows in rocky, well-drained soils. It thrives in environments with strong sunlight and periodic drought.

Plant Description

This agave forms a symmetrical rosette of thick, fleshy leaves that are bluish-green with creamy yellow or white variegation along the margins. The leaves are ovate with sharp terminal spines and small marginal teeth. The variegated form adds a decorative, eye-catching contrast. Mature plants may produce a tall flower spike once in their lifetime, bearing yellow-green flowers.
